The Hanging Cheek French Link snaffle is also referred to as a Half Cheek or Filet Baucher snaffle bit.
One of the 'stronger' dressage legal bits, the French Link Hanging Cheek snaffle conforms to the shape of the horses mouth more naturally than a jointed bit as the French Link lays across the horses tongue and bars, eliminating the nutcracker action.
The Hanging Cheek uses pressure on the poll as the cheek piece has an extra ring above the snaffle ring where the bridle cheek pieces are attached to, this pressure encourages the horse for more flexion and softness at the poll.
Mouthpiece thickness: 14mm. Cheek height: 110mm.
