How it Works:
- Prevents Leaning & Grabbing: The alternating metal rollers turn independently in the mouth. This structural movement prevents strong horses from setting their jaw, grabbing the bit or pulling the rider along.
- Encourages Mouthing: Copper naturally warms quickly and reacts with saliva. This sweet taste rewards the horse for playing with the bit, keeping the lower jaw relaxed.
- Steering & Stability: The fixed D-ring cheeks provide flat, lateral pressure against the face during turns. This aids green or stubborn horses while steering while preventing the mouthpiece from being pulled horizontally through the lips.
- Nutcracker Action: Its single-jointed design means that strong rein pressure applies a squeezing motion across the bars and tongue, encouraging the horse to lift it's head off the forehand.
