JHL Havana Leather Fulmer Loops are small double-ended leather straps used to secure the cheeks of a Fulmer or full cheek bit in the correct position. They are sold in pairs are designed to improve safety and bit functionality.
- Prevent Snagging: They hold the top of the bit's long cheeks close to the bridle. This prevents the metal arms from getting caught on the horse's noseband, reins, or external objects like fences.
- Stabilize the Bit: The loops keep the bit in the correct alignment within the horse's mouth. This prevents it from tipping or sliding, resulting in clearer rein aids.
- Add Poll Pressure: By securing the top arm of the bit to the cheekpiece, the loops introduce a very mild, consistent lever action that applies slight poll pressure when you use the reins.
