Park Farm is a licensed and insured riding centre providing riding lessons for all ages and abilities. Our senior instructor Karen Long holds the BHS Intermediate Teaching certificate and has with many years teaching and competing experience.

An introductory assessment session is for clients coming to the centre for the first time. During the assessment time you will ride, discuss your future riding requirements and complete an assessment form. It is during this assessment time that the Beginners or Refresher Courses will be recommended.
For those starting for the first time a beginners course of 5 half hour private lessons is available. For those that are a bit rusty there is the option of a refreshers course of 3 half hour private lessons. These courses may be recommended by the instructor who carries out your assessment.
Group or Private Riding Lessons
You may have either group or private lessons: group lessons take place after school and during the weekends, private lessons can be booked at your convenience. We also instruct people on their own horses.
If you wish to ride out, we are able to offer a variety of routes over our private farm land.
Clients are requested to wear suitable clothing for riding. Hard hats must be worn at all times when mounted, and must be to current British & European standards. Footwear with a smooth sole and small heel is required. Riding hats are available at the centre.
Block bookings must be paid for at the time of booking. Block bookings are non-refundable, but can be transferred in the event of a cancellation. Please see reception for costs.
Please give 24 hours notice when cancelling a lesson, late notification will incur a charge of half the value of the lesson.
F.D. Small & Co Ltd., accepts no liability for persons or property whilst at Park Farm. Clients are advised that horse riding can be dangerous. It is a Risk Sport, even the most reliable of horses can be unpredictable at times, and accidents can still happen which could result in you being injured.
Please be advised our liability is limited to acts of negligence by ourselves or our staff.
